🧭 Recommended Workflow
Never trust a single tool. Follow these steps for a reliable integrity check.
Use the text area at the top of the page. Paste directly or upload a .txt, .md, .docx, .pdf file. FreeDetect itself sends your text nowhere — but whatever you paste into a third-party tool is sent to that service.
Use the chip filters to narrow the tool grid. Start with Beginners for quick free checks; switch to Professionals for deep academic or code analysis. Filter by category — AI, plagiarism, bibliography, image, etc.
Your text is automatically copied to the clipboard. Each tool opens in a new tab — just paste with Ctrl+V / Cmd+V. Run at least two or three tools before drawing conclusions.
False positives are real and common. Detectors often share the same biases, so agreement between them is only a weak signal, never proof. A single flagged result is not proof of anything either.
Open the Citation Generator panel inside the text area. Click Scan input text — it finds all DOIs in your text and checks each one against Crossref. Any ❌ result is a potentially invented source.
Paste any DOI or ISBN into the Citation Generator and hit Fetch to get APA, MLA, Chicago, or BibTeX output instantly. For full reference management, use Zotero (Pro tier).
Use the bibliography tools — Retraction Watch, Scite.ai, Crossref — to confirm that cited papers exist, haven't been retracted, and actually say what you claim. Be honest about any AI assistance.
💡 Tip: use the language toggle (🌐) to switch the interface to Romanian at any time.
